Birthday parties (public skate booking)
This package is available during the following public skate hours:
- Friday evening
- Sunday afternoon
Package includes:
- 2 hours on the ice during a public skate
- 1 hour in the boardroom (before or after the public skate)
- Up to 15 children and 10 adults
- Skates and CSA approved helmet rentals (subject to availability)
- Persons 18 years and under must wear a CSA approved helmet
Supervision requirement:
- Children under 12 years of age must be supervised (on the ice, wearing skates) by a guardian 19+ years of age. Maximum of 5 children to 1 guardian.
Booking fees:
- Package A: $100.00
- Plus $25.00 party room deposit (deposit returned with a post party clean-up)
- Additional multipurpose area rental: $35.00 per hour
- Additional skaters charged daily admission fees and skate rental per person
Minimum 7 days advance notice required. Reservations based on availability. Full payment required to confirm/hold dates.

Package includes:
- 1 hour on the ice for your private party
- 1 hour in the boardroom (before or after the ice time)

- 30 minutes in a designated dressing room area (during the public skating session)
- Up to 15 children and 10 adults
- Skates and CSA approved helmet rentals (subject to availability)
- Persons under 19 years must wear a CSA approved helmet

- Children under 12 years of age must be supervised (on the ice, wearing skates) by a guardian 19+ years of age. Maximum of 5 children to 1 guardian.
Booking fees:
- Package C: $80.00
- Plus $25.00 party room deposit (deposit returned with a post party clean-up)
- Additional ice time: $120.00 per hour
- Additional dress room area rental: $25.00 per hour

Supervision requirement:
- Children under 12 years of age must be supervised (in the gymnasium) by a guardian 19+ years of age. Maximum of 5 children to 1 guardian.
Booking fees:
- Package D:
- 1 – 50 people $70.00 per hour
- 51 – 90 people $120.00 per hour
- Plus $25.00 party room deposit (deposit returned with a post party clean-up)

Non-Profit, youth, and senior group booking
Minimum 7 days advance notice required (subject to availability). Full payment and proof of non-profit status and insurance required to confirm/hold dates.
Non-profit – Discounted rental rates may apply for non-profit organizations. To take advantage of these rates, organizations must submit valid registered non-profit documentation at the time of rental agreement.
Youth group – Discounted rental rates are applied for a sport and community or cultural activity where the participants are under 19 years of age.
Senior group – Senior group discounted rental rates are applied for a sport and community or cultural activity where the participants are over 60 years of age.

Insurance
Rental groups, schools, clubs, and sport organizations are required to provide proof of insurance documentation for a $5 million dollar liability policy listing the following as additional insureds:
- Canadian Recreation Excellence Corporate
- Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine
- Upper Skeena Recreation Centre
Cancellations
2 weeks notice of cancellation is required for a full refund. Full fees apply to cancellations less than 14 days.
Damage deposits
Refunded damage deposits are dependent on the condition of the space and equipment after the rental. The Recreation Excellence team will conduct pre and post event inspections with the event host to determine the expectations and requirements. The damage deposit refund may be processed up to 2 business days after the event.
